BC Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) Program

Provides financial assistance to help people impacted by a disaster cope with the cost of repairs and recovery from uninsurable disaster-related property damage, when an event has been declared eligible. Disasters such as flooding, landslides, mudslides, or ice jams may be eligible for financial assistance to replace items essential to a home, livelihood, or community service. Available to qualifying homeowners, residential tenants, small businesses, farm owners, charitable organizations, and local government bodies. Applications can be submitted by phone, email, or online through the Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) portal.
