Service Description
Dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm, and wild animals in BC. Services and programs include cruelty investigations, sheltering and adoptions, emergency rescue and treatment, low-income spay/neuter program, municipal animal control (see municipal record for details), humane education, and advocacy. Takes surrendered animals and stray dogs, cats, and domestic small pets. Office and shelter hours are 12 noon to 4:30 pm Tuesday to Saturday. Serves Castlegar and the West Kootenay region.
