Better at Home - Fort St John

Assists seniors age 60 and over who are in general good health, but require help with non-medical daily tasks to maintain independent living within their homes and remain connected to their community. Services include transportation, friendly visiting, light housekeeping, lawn mowing, and snow shoveling. Serves Fort St John. Fees are charged for some services on a sliding scale based on income. Program hours vary. Office hours are 9 am to 3 pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays; voicemail messages are checked periodically. Funded by Ministry of Health (MOH) and managed by United Way British Columbia (UWBC).
