Assists seniors age 65 and over who are in general good health, but require help with non-medical daily tasks to maintain independent living within their homes and remain connected to their communities. Services include light housekeeping, grocery shopping, friendly visits and phone calls, minor home repair, light yard work, meal delivery, library book pick-up and drop-off, and transportation to medical and other critical appointments. Fees are on a sliding scale based on income; subsidy may be available. Serves Saanich Peninsula, which includes Brentwood Bay, North Saanich, Saanich, Saanichton, and Sidney. Services may vary by community. Program hours vary. Funded by Ministry of Health (MOH) and managed by United Way British Columbia (UWBC).
