Assists seniors ages 55 and over who are in general good health, but require help with daily tasks to maintain independent living within their home and community as long as possible. Services may include grocery shopping, light housekeeping, transportation, and friendly visits. Self-referral accepted. Serves the Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood (east of Nanaimo Street to Boundary Road, and north of East Broadway to the Burrard Inlet). Free and sliding-scale fee services. Office hours are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Managed by United Way BC, and funded by Ministry of Health.

Through Transportation Services, provides transportation to individual seniors ages 55 and over to non-surgical medical appointments. Services include pick-up and drop-off. Individuals must be a residents of the Hastings-Sunrise area, which runs from Nanaimo Street east to Boundary Road, and from East Broadway north to Burrard Inlet. Can not provide help with vehicle entry/exit. May be able to accommodate a walker, wheelchair, or scooter, depending on the vehicle. Pick-up and drop-off locations are typically Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond, and Vancouver. Transportation is a volunteer-driven vehicle. Booking is made two weeks in advance and booking hours are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Booking of regular trips is not permitted. Trips are dependent on driver availability; final confirmation of a volunteer's availability will be provided three to seven days before the requested appointment. 24 hours notice is required to cancel a trip. Pre-registration is required by phone. No cost to client. Service provided in Cantonese, English, Korean, and Mandarin.
