Helps seniors ages 65 and older continue to live independently in their own home with support services: includes transportation to medical appointments, assistance with grocery shopping, light housekeeping and yard work, minor home repair, and friendly visiting. Sliding scale fees based on income; services may be subsidized up to 100%. Referral accepted from self or other. Serves Armstrong, Cherryville, Lavington, Lumby, and Vernon. Program hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday. Funded by Ministry of Health (MOH) and managed by United Way British Columbia (UWBC).
