Provides support to foster families and extended family caregivers in order to maintain foster placements. Assists caregivers in managing a wide range of challenges and behaviours related to trauma, diagnoses, attachment, and transitions. Provides individual support (in-person sessions, phone, text, email) and group support in order to promote self-advocacy. Also coordinates care team meetings, resources, and training opportunities for caregivers to connect. Serves Abbotsford and Mission. Referrals are made through Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) social workers. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
