Provides support, resources, and referral for child care providers and families. Services for parents include information about child care and the child care subsidy, help finding child care, referral to community resources, and educational opportunities. Also offers services to child care providers, including start-up and administrative information, registry listing, workshop and networking opportunities, and access to a toy and resource lending library. Serves Powell River and central and northern Vancouver Island including Courtenay, Gabriola Island, Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Tofino, and Ucluelet. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 10 am to 6 pm Thursdays; and 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Saturdays. Funded by Ministry of Education and Child Care (MECC).
