Service Description

Gives hope and support to vulnerable individuals and families through the provision of social services and practical assistance focusing on the basic necessities of life. Helps meet the immediate and short-term needs of people in distress through emergency assistance with food, thrift store vouchers for clothing and household goods, lay counselling, and emergency disaster services. Provides Emergency Food Hampers and Christmas Hampers; call ahead to register. Also offers Out-of-School Care for children, including those with special needs. Offers youth recreation programs, including basketball. Serves Burnaby. Program hours vary; office hours are 10:30 am to 2 pm Tuesday to Friday.
