Service Description

Gives hope and support to vulnerable individuals and families through the provision of social services and practical assistance focusing on the basic necessities of life. Helps meet the immediate and short-term needs of people in distress through emergency assistance with food, thrift store clothing and household goods vouchers, as well as lay counselling and emergency disaster services. Kid's Club offers recreational activities and snacks for children in kindergarten to grade seven from 6 pm to 7:30 pm Fridays. Through the six week Parent-Child Mother Goose Program, parents and children up to age three bond through song and rhyme. The Backpacks for Kids program provides school supplies to low-income families with children. Also provides Christmas Gifts for Women in Shelters. Also participates in the North Shore Homelessness Task Force. Operates food programs at this location; listed separately. Serves North Vancouver. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
