Community and Family Services - Port Alberni

Gives hope and support to vulnerable individuals and families through the provision of social services and practical assistance focusing on the basic necessities of life. Helps meet the immediate and short-term needs of people in distress through emergency assistance with food, thrift store clothing and household good vouchers, lay counselling, and emergency disaster services. A Baby Days event, held once every two months, allows parents and grandparents to take home baby items such as clothing, diapers, formula, toys, and other available baby items. A Seniors Only Day is hosted to meet the needs of seniors. Operates food programs and a thrift store at this location; listed separately. Office hours are 9:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
