Service Description
Helps meet the immediate and short-term needs of vulnerable individuals and families in Richmond who are in distress through emergency assistance with food, clothing, and household goods, as well as lay counselling and emergency disaster services. A Mobile Canteen food truck provides free meals in the small parking lot beside Richmond Public Library from 7 pm to 9 pm on Thursdays. A Food Bank runs from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 1 pm to 3 pm on Tuesdays, except on Wednesdays following a long weekend; accepts donations of uncanned food and canned beans. ID is required for each individual during the first visit. Serves Christmas Dinner and provides Christmas Hampers. Office hours are 10 am to 4 pm Tuesday to Thursday.
