Community and Family Services - Richmond

Helps meet the immediate and short-term needs of vulnerable individuals and families in Richmond who are in distress through emergency assistance with food, clothing, and household goods, as well as lay counselling and emergency disaster services. A Mobile Canteen food truck provides free meals to homeless people in the parking lot beside Richmond Food Bank (5800 Cedar Bridge Way) from 7 pm to 9 pm Monday to Friday. A Food Bank runs from 10 am to 12 pm Wednesdays; accepts donations of uncanned and canned food. ID is required for each individual during the first visit. Serves Christmas Dinner; call for details. Also offers a faith-based recovery support group from 7 pm to 9 pm Sundays. Office hours are 2 pm to 5 pm Tuesday to Friday.
