Community-based Victim Service Program - Shuswap

Specializes in providing victim services to individuals of any age and gender of family violence, sexual assault, recent or historical child abuse, and stalking. Also works to address sexual exploitation of youth, in particular the exchange of sex for drugs, food, shelter, money, or anything else needed for survival. Service provided with or without police involvement (based on client's choice). Services include emotional support, advocacy, information about the criminal justice system and case progression, court orientation, accompaniment to court and police, form completion assistance, and referral to community resources. Serves Adams Lake, Chase, Enderby, Salmon Arm, Scotch Creek, Sicamous, Sorrento, and surrounding communities. Funding provided by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
