Community-based Victim Services Program

Provides victim services to victims (all ages and genders) of relationship violence, sexual assault, child abuse (sexual or physical), criminal harassment, elder abuse, and other forms of family violence. Services include emotional support, advocacy, accompaniment to police, court orientation and accompaniment, form completion assistance, and referrals to other resources. Victims may or may not have already reported the crime to the police. Offers third party reporting to adult victims of sexual assault; staff report the assault to police on behalf of the victim who remains anonymous. Also offers safety program for individuals at high risk of relationship violence, including cell phones programmed to dial emergency services, safety planning, and heightened police awareness of the abuser; accepts referrals from all service providers. Program offered in partnership with ADT Security Services Canada, Langley RCMP, and local community organizations. Accepts cell phone donations. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday; evening appointments are available on request. Funding provided by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
