Community Residential Emergency Short-Stay Treatment (CRESST) - Fraser North
Provides 24-hour bed-based mental health for adults who require short-term mental health support, psychiatric care, and stabilization. Voluntary program for individuals ages 19 and over who are able and willing to accept mental health treatment and support in a setting where they can come and go as they like. Offers mental health support when challenges at home become difficult to manage, but hospitalization is not required. Services include psychiatric and other relevant assessments, development of care or wellness plan, medication review and management, group and individual therapeutic support, education about mental health and ways to improve and maintain well-being, access to social workers who can assist with financial challenges and housing navigation, and referrals to additional community services. Referrals accepted from mental health and substance use centres, family doctors, or hospitals. Serves Fraser Health region; individuals can access these services wherever there is a vacancy, with individuals placed closest to where they live whenever possible. Intake is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
