Provides assistance to people in the community facing barriers, including homelessness, mental health concerns, problematic substance use, criminal justice involvement, and developmental disabilities. Provides drop-in services within a safe and supportive environment for individuals who may require support in accessing community resources. Services include assistance with obtaining identification, educational upgrading, locating and maintaining safe and affordable housing, as well as referrals to employment, substance use treatment, mental health resources, advocacy services, and income tax resources. Also offers a variety of in-house programming promoting well-being and independence. UBC Smiles dental clinic provides low-cost dental services for adults needing immediate relief from untreated dental conditions. Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday, and 9 am to 12 noon Friday. Welcomes walk-ins; no referral is required.
