Counselling Centre

Provides free and low-cost counselling to eligible individuals. Single Session Walk In Service (SSWIS) offers a free single counselling session for adults aged 19 and over who need same-day counselling. Individuals can call to get an appointment, or walk-in during SSWIS hours;10 am to 3 pm Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Caring for Community Program offers individual, couple, and family counselling with a practicum student, supervised by an experienced registered clinical counsellor; rates are $25 per session for individuals, and $40 per session for couples, parents or families. Youth experiencing depression, anxiety and/or suicidal ideation can contact the Youth Outreach and Navigator for help planning and implementing positive changes for youth in need and their families. The program can help manage short term crisis situations, connect to other resources, help navigate the mental health system, and help with transportation and advocacy.
