Service Description

Offers an holistic approach to mental health and substance use through prevention, early intervention, treatment, and recovery services. Health care providers work with each person to understand their unique needs and connect them to the appropriate care at the centre and in the community. Services include addictions medicine, substance use treatment, concurrent mental health and substance use services, and primary care such as wound care, STI screening, and treatment of concurrent diseases. Also offers Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT), Tablet Injectable Opioid Agonist Therapy (TiOAT), and managed alcohol programs for individuals who have not benefited from other treatment options. Prevention services include harm reduction, overdose prevention, and peer supports. Services are provided at the centre as well as by outreach teams of health care providers. Centre hours are 10:30 am to 7 pm daily. Offered in partnership with Island Health. Funded in part by Health Canada.
