Service Description

Inpatient program provides 24-hour medical supervision and support for adults ages 19 and up who want to withdraw and stabilize from the physical effects of alcohol and other substances; also available for youth ages 14 to 18. Services include medical management of withdrawal, substance use information, Take Home Naloxone training, supportive counselling, daily exercise and relaxation sessions, assessment, and referral to treatment or other services. Youth inpatient services include 30-day stabilization, providing a safe place for youth to get settled and plan their next steps once their withdrawal symptoms are under control. Serves Abbotsford, Agassiz, Boston Bar, Burnaby, Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Delta, Harrison Hot Springs, Hope, Kent, Langley, Maple Ridge, Mission, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, and White Rock.

Intake is in person through local Rapid Access to Addiction Care (RAAC) Clinics. Walk-ins are welcome, as are appointments booked by phone. RAAC hours are 8:30 am to 4:30/5 pm Monday to Friday. For intake later in the day (such as from 3 pm onward) calling for an appointment is recommended.
