Inpatient program provides 24-hour medical supervision and support for adults ages 19 and up who want to withdraw and stabilize from the physical effects of alcohol and other substances; also available for youth ages 14 to 18. Services include medical management of withdrawal, substance use information, Take Home Naloxone training, supportive counselling, assessment, and referral to treatment or other services. Youth inpatient services include 30-day stabilization, providing a safe place for youth to get settled and plan their next steps once their withdrawal symptoms are under control. Intake is by drop-in or by appointment at Rapid Access to Addiction Care (RAAC) clinics in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, New Westminster, and Surrey (co-located at Creekside). Walk-ins are welcome, although appointments are recommended for intake from 3 pm onwards.
