Crisis Response

Offers support to survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence ages 13 and up and their loved ones. Support is available via telephone, or in person at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops as they await services from a health care provider, speak to law enforcement, and/or undergo a forensic exam. For forensic exams, evidence collection is recommended within seven days of the event. Survivors receive emotional support, information on reporting options and ongoing services, advocacy, and connections to other community services. Support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Hospital accompaniment can be requested by calling the 24-hour crisis line or by asking at the triage desk at the hospital.
