Crisis Response, Community-Led (CRCL) - Victoria

A mobile crisis response team led by individuals with lived mental health experience alongside trained mental health professionals. They work to de-escalate mental health crises and create community care plans. This service is also for those facing substance use crises. The team offers a client-centred and community-based alternative to police intervention, using a trauma-informed approach. Services include screening, assessment, phone support, crisis management, peer connections, resource referrals, and follow-up care. Contact is by a call or text. Service hours are 7:30 am to 12:30 am daily. Serves Victoria. Funded by the BC Government and by Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
