A residential addiction treatment and recovery facility for self-identifying women ages 19 years and over who use substances. Recognizes addiction as a physical, psychological, social, and spiritual disease. Programming includes a combination of group and individual counselling, daily journalling, volunteering (co-ed), spiritual and 12-step support, electives, and a minimum attendance of four community support meetings per week. New residents start in a pre-treatment program (two or more weeks depending on individual readiness). After completing pre-treatment, residents transfer into Phase 1 (90 days) where they are assigned to a primary counsellor and begin weekly one-on-one sessions and assignments. The Phase 1 program aims to provide a safe environment where individuals can begin a process of self-exploration with the objective of identifying the core issues that perpetuate substance use. Accepts women on methadone maintenance; however, clients are not permitted to taper in Phase 1. Cannot accommodate women using fentanyl patches. Following graduation, residents have the option of staying for additional phases for continued support: Phase 2 (full-time, eight weeks), Phase 3 (part-time, varies in length), and Phase 4 (transitional housing program). Tapering of methadone maintenance can be discussed in Phase 2 or 3 with the counsellor, doctor, and client. Accepts self-referrals; referral forms available online. Funded beds available. Does not have access to a language interpretation service. Wheelchair accessible. Intake hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
