Service Description

A low-barrier, temporary emergency residential program providing five beds for Vancouver high-risk youth ages 16 to 21 of all genders and orientations who are street involved and need a safe space to stay. Intakes are completed 24 hours a day, year-round. Provides a non-judgmental and inclusive space for respite with support from staff on identified needs, including help securing ID and income sources, and connections to culture and community services. Youth are provided with meals, snacks, personal hygiene items, access to clothing donations, support with life skills and transition planning. Health-related services include onsite visits from medical practitioner, bed rest, medication management, and access to counselling. Youth who are substance affected are welcomed and supported; premises are substance free. Offers access to harm reduction supplies, Take Home Naloxone Kits, and connection to substance use and mental health services where needed. Length of stay is short-term and dependent on need. No fees for service. Pets can be accommodated. Not wheelchair accessible. Accepts referral from self or others.
