DiscoverY - Island

Provides short-term counselling to youth and young adults 13 to 25 years of age who might not otherwise be eligible for services in the community. Focuses on building resilience and exploring new ways of communicating, coping, and relating to self and others. Services is typically eight to 10 sessions. Open referral. Serves Bowser, Coombs, Dashwood, Deep Bay, Errington, Horne Lake, Lasqueti, Nanoose Bay, Parksville, Port Alberni, Qualicum Beach, and Whiskey Creek. Intake hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday; evening and weekend appointments are available. Funded by Parksville/Qualicum Community Foundation.
