Provides a free 12-week training program to young adults ages 18 to 29 for jobs in Early Childhood Education; hybrid course is offered in person and online. Participants acquire skills and certification for jobs as Early Childhood Education Assistants for children ages two to five. Includes on-the-job experience in two practicums through YMCA childcare centres across Metro Vancouver. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or confirmed refugees, unemployed, or precariously employed. Must also have completed English 12.
