Early Years Program
Offers culturally-rooted services for Indigenous children ages 19 and younger and their caregivers. Indigenous Infant and Child Development program offers family-centred approach for Indigenous children who have or who are at risk of having a development delay. Offers development assessments, home visits, personalized activity planning, parental support and guidance, referrals and connections to community and cultural resources. Also offers support in childcare and school settings for children needing extra help with physical, emotional, social, behavioural, or communication development. Indigenous Child Resource Navigator offers advocacy, and navigation support to access services for families with children with support needs ages 19 and younger. Funded as an Aboriginal Infant Development Program (AIDP) and Aboriginal Supported Child Development (ASCD). Also, offers drop-in playgroup for Indigenous children up to age six and their parents or caregivers. Open referral for all programs. Serves Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
