Emerald Centre

Low-barrier, 24-hour, year-round shelter providing 40 beds to adults of any gender who are experiencing homelessness. Clients provided with a clean bed in shared rooms, meals, and access to support workers, and a case management team that works with them to help access available services and find stable housing. Offers education on safe drug use and incorporates harm reduction services for people who use substances, including distributing supplies for safe drug use and referring clients to additional support programs and services. Wheelchair accessible. Bike storage and storage lockers available. Can accommodate one caged pet in the shelter. Curfew is at 9:30 pm; unoccupied beds given out on first come, first served basis to individuals who come in or call. Ongoing intake at any time if beds available. During Extreme Weather Response (EWR) alerts, provides overflow mats. Funded by BC Housing.
