Responsible for administering legislation concerning matters such as hours of work, overtime, payment of wages, minimum wages, dismissal, maternity leave job protection, paid sick leave for personal illness or injury, employment of children, annual vacations, and general holidays. Serves BC; regional offices are located in Dawson Creek, Kelowna, Langley, Nanaimo, Prince George, Richmond, and Victoria. Translation service is available by phone from 7:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
