Service Description

Offers a range of services to individuals and families who live in poverty or are at high risk of poverty; some services are for Jewish community, and some are open to all. ?Offers advocacy and care management to address a range of issues such as lack of income, food insecurity, disability, and assistance with various forms including the Jewish Housing Registry, SAFER rental subsidy, and BC Housing applications. Provides Emergency Financial Aid to those who qualify, including food vouchers, and assistance with housing, medical, or emergency expenses. The Jewish Food Link program provides healthy and nutritious food on a regular basis at no cost to households in the Tri-Cities, Richmond, South Surrey/White Rock, and the North Shore. The Food Cupboard offers non-perishable items at the JFS office five days a week on a walk-in basis to registered clients.
