Financial Empowerment Programs
Money Skills workshops teach people on low incomes, newcomers, youth, and seniors about budgeting, credit/debit management, banking, saving and investing, and consumerism. Prosper One-on-one Financial Coaching provides free financial coaching sessions for people on low incomes, newcomers, youth, and seniors; offered by phone or online. Sessions may cover topics such as setting financial goals, developing a budget/financial action plan, investing in savings plans, and helping file for government benefits. Also offers online Financial Literacy Workshops every month, providing space for people to come together online to learn about personal daily financial management skills. Workshops are an hour long and are offered in Arabic, Cantonese, English, French, Mandarin, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Serves BC. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday; phone calls are returned within three business days.
