A province-wide helpline for professionals and anyone personally affected by dementia, as well as for the general public. Staff answer caller's questions and connects them to Alzheimer Society of BC programs and also to community resources. In addition to general information about dementia, topics addressed include getting a diagnosis, progression of the disease, communication and behaviour changes, personal planning, maintaining independence, providing care and support, and resources such as support groups and education workshops. Helpline hours are from 9 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday in English, and from 9 am to 4 pm in Cantonese, Hindi, Mandarin, Punjabi, and Urdu from 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
