Also offers baby formula, diapers, menstrual care products, and harm-reduction kits. In addition, provides food skills training and help with making a long-term plan to become self-sufficient through the agency's outreach services. Drop-in hours are 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and by appointment on Saturdays; book online or by phone. Also offers a Food Skills and Nutrition Program for lower-income families, pregnant women, and adults age 50 and older; childcare is provided for families during workshops. Participants take part in a series of workshops that focus on preparing, preserving, purchasing, growing, and storing food. Each household enrolled in the program is eligible to receive a minimum of $27/week in farmer’s market coupons which can be used to purchase vegetables, fruits, nuts, eggs, dairy, cut herbs, meat, and fish. The program runs with the farmer’s markets from June to November; call or email (foodandnutrition@mywcss.org) for more information or to register. Registration opens in Spring.
