Service Description
Coffee Hour is at 10 am every Tuesday. Food Bank provides groceries to people in need; by appointment only, registration required. Also provides daily food grab bags on a drop-in basis. New clients must present ID, proof of income, and proof of address. A Community Garden offers gardening experience to food bank volunteers; all food grown is used in the kitchen or distributed through the food bank. The Fresh From the Farm summer program offers youth ages 10 to 16 the opportunity to glean fruits and vegetables for the food bank from organic orchards and farms throughout the Okanagan Similkameen. Also provides Emergency Food Hampers and Christmas Hampers. Serves Cawston, Keremeos, and Penticton.
