Gold River and Cortes Island Safe Home Program
Offers a temporary safe shelter for women (cisgender and transgender) and non-binary and Two-Spirit individuals, with or without children, who are leaving violent relationships or who are at risk of abuse, threats, or violence. Accepts male children up to age 19. Guests may stay for up to a week, and then transportation is provided to Ann Elmore House in Campbell River if needed. Serves Gold River and Cortes Island. Personal ID is not required. Pets are not allowed. Wheelchair accessible. Funded by BC Housing.
