Hannah House

37-bed residential treatment program for women with substance use issues. Uses a three-stage approach that reflects need and level of recovery. The first stage involves medical support and intensive application of the 12-step program. The second stage features continued step work and programs such as counselling, conflict resolution, anger management, career counselling, job search, and education that emphasize re-entry into society. The third stage allows clients to plan for their immediate future, leaving when ready. Minimum 60-day treatment program, with some flexibility for extension. 24-hour staffing. Self-referral accepted with telephone interview; intake hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Phones answered 24-hours, partial interviews conducted after-hours, with full intake completed during office hours. Accepts women on substitution therapy. Service provided in English; no access to interpretation provided. Some beds are funded as Stabilization and Transitional Living Residence (STLR) by Fraser Health.
