Second-stage transition house offers supportive, cooperative housing for immigrant women (inclusive of cisgender and transgender women) with or without children who have been impacted by violence or abuse and have passed through the initial crisis stage; accepts male children up to age 12. Accepts self-referrals, but women coming from a first-stage transition house have priority admission as well as South Asian women. Offers emotional support, court accompaniment, information and referral, and advocacy. Service is offered in various languages including English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. Stay is from six to 18 months. Personal identification (ID) is not required. No pets allowed. Wheelchair accessible. Funded by BC Housing.
