Home-Based Withdrawal Management and Detox program

Service Description

A two-year pilot project offering an in-home detox and withdrawal program. Also open to individuals with temporary immigration status in Canada. Provides next-day service, including daily visits from a nurse and outreach worker during the detox process. A counsellor or outreach worker will provide ongoing aftercare support. To qualify, clients must have a caregiver who will be accessible 24/7 for the first three days of detox. Following initial intake, an in-home appointment will be scheduled for the initial assessment with an addictions team made up of an addictions doctor, nurses, outreach workers and clinical counsellor. The team will visit daily to provide medical, emotional, and social support for clients and their families. Following the detox period, clients and families will receive continuing support with a clinical counsellor and outreach worker for follow-up and on-going after-care. Accepts self-referrals; call or fill out the online form. Culturally competent care provided in Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. Serves in Surrey, White Rock, Langley and Delta.
