Homelessness Intervention Program (HIP)

Provides services to individuals in Dawson Creek who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, in particular people of Indigenous descent, women who have experienced violence or are at risk of violence, youth transitioning out of foster care, and individuals leaving the correctional or hospital systems. Helps individuals access rental housing in the private market, through support services such as referrals to housing options, information on other housing subsidies, housing search assistance, and rent supplements. Hours are 8 am to 5 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 9 am to 12 noon every second Monday. Funded as a Homeless Prevention Program (HPP) by BC Housing.
