Service Description

Offers a variety of crisis and rehabilitative care services to survivors of human trafficking across Canada in-person, online, digitally, and by phone/text; accepts survivors with complex challenges or barriers. The Propel Survivor Education Centre supports survivors of human trafficking, 16 years or older of any gender and orientation, through a confidential, accessible physical learning and development space, as well as a digital learning space available for survivors across Canada. Through the centre, survivors can access group and one-on-one support options, including but not limited to case management navigation, education and employment training, learning lab and resources, case planning and personal formation, leadership opportunities, social re-integration events, essential needs, mentoring, and second stage housing subsidies. Referrals (including self-referrals) are made by contacting an outreach worker at the numbers below. Renew Mental Health and Addictions provides best practice treatment programming to survivors of all genders focusing on trauma, addictions, and mental health; offered full-time, part-time, and online. Living Hope Life and Living Skills Program provides specialized services to survivors of all genders, including education, activities, and events that strengthen and enrich activities of daily living, employment, education, volunteering, and social development; offered online and in-person. Deborah's Gate is a high security safe house and live in program for female-presenting survivors ages 16 and over; see independent listing for details. Also offers specialized services to survivors of all genders such as tattoo branding removal; gym and fitness access; art, pet, light, eco, and equine therapy; free dental services; flights to and from Illuminate programs across Canada; rehabilitative dance and yoga residency; employment opportunities; and Indigenous mentoring. Also provides consulting services to service providers, conducts research, and is the host site of national financial access projects in partnership with financial institutions. Holds the annual Voices Raised Survivor Summit; full scholarships are available to survivors to participate. Self or agency referral accepted. Referrals, intakes, and outreach supports are processed 24/7. In-person programming is located in Vancouver. Serves Canada.
