Immigrant Women Peer Support Program (IWPSP) - New Westminster

Provides practical and social support for newcomer women who are permanent residents, refugees/protected persons, or naturalized citizens. Peer Support Group is a 10-week drop-in program offering settlement support, cultural learning, and community connections. Leadership and Facilitation program is a 14-week leadership and facilitation training to develop community leadership skills and offers opportunity to facilitate Peer Support Group program; must be ages 24 and older for this program and have English language level of at least CLB 4. Support groups address settlement challenges and help women develop new skills, make new friends, and learn about life in Canada. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm.
