Provides one-on-one support to individuals age 18 and older with a developmental disability, autism, fetal alcohol syndrome, or a brain injury in their home or within the community. Staff focus on promoting the individual’s independence and freedom. Areas of support include home organization and safety, healthy living, nutrition and exercise, accessing medical appointments, outings, and helping individuals to participate in the community. Serves Vancouver Island from Victoria to Campbell River, as well as Port Alberni, Tofino, and Ucluelet. Time Well Spent is one-on-one support offered to adults with developmental disabilities, autism, and fetal alcohol syndrome in their home or community, focusing on companionship and building relationships; serves Parksville and Qualicum Beach. Funded by Community Living British Columbia (CLBC) and by Island Health. Also accepts private pay clients.
