Kamloops Food Programs
Runs on site Daily Free Bread (and possibly produce) from 10am to 12 noon, Monday to Friday; and Breakfast Link 9am to 10:30 am on Wednesdays to seniors and caregivers with toddlers. Operates the Mobile Community Response Unit (CRU) Lunch serves food from 11:15 am to 11:30 am on Tuesdays outside the old Dynasty Gardens (227 Tranquille Road), 11:15 am to 11:45 am at Georgian Court North Shore (406 Fortune Drive), 11:50 am to 12:05 pm at Lighthouse on Valleyview Drive (1605 Trans-Canada Highway), 12:10 pm to 12:25 pm outside Motel 6 in Valleyview (1763 Trans-Canada Highway), and 12:30 pm to 1 pm outside The Lamplighter in Valleyview (1901 East, Trans-Canada highway). Emergency Food Hampers are available 10 am to 12 noon and 4 pm to 6 pm Mondays, and 9 am to 11:45 am Thursdays; proof of income and ID is required for new applicants, and service may only be accessed once every 30 days. The Birthday Club provides a gift and cake for children and youth up to age 16, with a few days advance notice. Also provides Christmas Hampers to low-income families and singles in Kamloops; registration required.
