Service Description

Transition house provides 25 beds for all self-identified women, with or without children, who are at risk of, or have experienced, violence. Accepts male children age 17 and under. Maximum length of stay is 30 days. Opportunity for second-stage housing may be available. Offers a 24-hour crisis line to give support and advocacy for women and children who have experienced violence to regain self-esteem and rebuild their lives. Information on skills training and employment resources are provided. Daily counselling is available to women and children. Also offers follow-up support to women after their departure. Provides services to women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and fleeing violence or at risk of violence. Helps women access rental housing in the private market through support services such as referrals to housing options, information on other housing subsidies, housing search assistance, and rent supplements. Does not accept pets. Not wheelchair accessible. Funded by BC Housing.
