Kiwanis Emergency Youth Shelter (KEYS)

10-bed emergency shelter for youth ages 13 to 18 of all genders who are in crisis and have no safe housing alternatives. Seven night maximum stay. Services include information and referral regarding community resources, advocacy, shower and laundry facilities, hygiene supplies, and meals. Staff provide support and counselling for youth and their families while they are in crisis. Admission is voluntary, and consent of legal guardian is needed in order for a youth under age 17 to access services. Open referral, 24 hours a day, seven days a week; a phone call to check bed availability is recommended. Not wheelchair accessible.
