Provides free English language classes (literacy to level six) to adult newcomers who are immigrants, permanent residents (age 17 and older), refugees, refugee claimants. Classes are held at various locations in Abbotsford. On-site child care are available. Morning and evening classes offered; hours vary. Classes run from September to June and intake is ongoing through an application process. Also assesses prospective students for eligibility and training level using the Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test (CLPBT). Office hours are 9 am to 2 pm Monday to Thursday; assessments may be scheduled for mornings and evenings. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
