Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) - Victoria
Provides free basic and intermediate English language instruction for adult newcomers to Canada. Must be 17 or older, be approved for permanent residence, and have a Canadian status document. Class content helps students gain knowledge about community resources and life in Canada, as well as build confidence and independence in their ability to access services and participate in Canadian society. Classes are offered in-person or through distance home study. Also offers language assessment. Childcare is available for preschool-aged children whose parents are attending LINC classes. Serves Greater Victoria. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
