Last Door Youth Program

Service Description

A 10-bed, residential program for males ages 14 to 18 and 19 to 25 who are experiencing problematic substance use. Minimum program length is 90 days, and long-term stays are up to 18 months. Utilizes a structured social model, which includes individual and group counselling, family support and counselling, brief intervention, referral, recreation, socialization, and legal and medical support. Residents may be able to attend school, be tutored, and/or work while participating in the program. Family program is available to current clients; services include accommodation in family suites, parenting groups, couples counselling, education, and social activities. Long-term follow-up, including supported transitional housing and independent living residences are available for up to two years. Medical detoxification prior to intake is preferred but not necessary. Smoking is not permitted. Does not accept individuals on methadone/suboxone. Open referral. Intake hours are 7 am to 11 pm, seven days a week; rapid intake (within 24 hours) is available to those who qualify. Fees are $350 per day; clients may qualify for income assistance or Fraser Health funding.
