Legal Advocacy
The Poverty Law Advocacy Program assists with applications and reviews for income assistance, disability assistance, pension, and provides advocacy for landlord/tenant disputes. The Family Law Advocacy Program provides information and assistance navigating family law matters including separation/divorce, guardianship, parenting time, child or spousal support, and child protection. Also supports clients with applications and appeals for legal aid, and referrals to relevant services. Programs serve low-income individuals and families residing in the Tri-Cities, Anmore, and Belcarra. Funded by United Way British Columbia. Hours are 9 am to 4 pm Tuesday to Friday.
