Legal Advocacy
Provides legal advocacy services. The Poverty Law Program provides support in areas related to tenancy issues, income assistance, disability applications and appeals, pensions, dispute resolution, debt issues, bankruptcy and collections, and employment. Family Law Program provides support with marriage and common-law relationships, guardianship and parenting time, separations, separation agreements, divorce, spousal or child support, protection orders, mobility/relocation, child protection, Family Maintenance Enforcement Program, and property and debts up to $20,000. Other areas of law will be considered when issues are connected with poverty law or family law matters and when not covered by legal aid. Offered in partnership with The Law Foundation of British Columbia. Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
